Creative Professionals Lecture Series: Being in a Band

Aspiring to build a musical career for yourself? Interested in knowing more about the music industry? NYSM is here for you! Gary Schuster has designed a series of talks to cover the basics of the music industry, from copyrights and publishing, to management and beyond. The first event of the series, “Being in a Band” will cover bands as business partnerships, investment, profits, management, ownership of property, the band name, and more. This is an excellent opportunity for students looking to pursue a career in music, or for professional musicians to expand their knowledge and get questions answered by an expert! “Being in a Band” will be held on Saturday April 13th, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the upstairs performance space, “The Den” at New York School of Music, 42B Orchard St. Walden, NY 12586.
