Wali Ali plays standards from a generation of creative jazz. His guitar unites the cool of Miles and Trane with the heat of Hendrix and Santana. Come celebrate the release of his new CD which invites the listener to explore new interpretations of classic melodies. Wali Ali has played guitar with various musical artists including Taj Mahal, Norman Connors, Donny Hathaway, Bobbi Humphrey, Melvin Van Peebles, Noel Pointer, Lonnie Liston Smith, Peter Tosh, and Stanley Turrentine.
