Who Are We

We are passionate local business leaders committed to welcoming new members, mentoring them through their first year, and helping them maximize their membership benefits. We actively support the local business community by attending ribbon cuttings, hosting networking events, and gathering feedback to ensure the Chamber continually meets the needs of its members.

Purpose: To recruit and develop new members of HVGCC, serve as official hosts at events/breakfast meetings,  develop a positive awareness of the Chamber in the community and improve Membership retention.

Goals:

  • Establish systems, processes, and techniques to connect and engage with past/present and new members, identify leads for potential new members.
  • Continue to build ambassador mentoring program, inviting Board Directors to serve as mentors to new members and grow committee involvement.
  • Through recruitment efforts, increase membership by 5%.
  • Increase awareness of member benefits; develop methods to communicate value of membership
  • Annually membership survey for members to assess if their needs are met and seek suggestions for improvement.

Q: What exactly does a Chamber Ambassador do?
A: Ambassadors act as the public relations arm of the Chamber. We welcome new members, assist at registration desks, attend ribbon cuttings, and help members understand their benefits.
Q: What is the time commitment?
A: We value your time. The baseline commitment is about 2 to 3 hours per month. This includes our monthly committee meeting and attending at least one Chamber event or ribbon cutting.
: Do I get any perks for my business?
A: Yes! You receive high-profile visibility as a Chamber leader, exclusive networking opportunities with top officials, a special badge or ribbon at events, and your bio featured on our Ambassador website directory.
Q: Are there attendance requirements?
A: To maintain the committee's integrity, we ask Ambassadors to attend a minimum of [e.g., 60%] of monthly meetings and major Chamber events annually.
