Gateway Community Profiles
Welcome to the Gateway of the Hudson Valley! With the magnificent Hudson River as our backdrop we enjoy an abundance of Parks, Recreational Activities and Festivals,
Art Galleries, Museums, Fabulous Dining and Nightlife, World Class Music and Theater and Great Shopping. Our history is as rich and as diverse as the cultures that make up our communities today.
Peekskill is known for its artist, dining and entertainment district, while Croton maintains a small hometown district. Cortlandt is known for its beautiful suburban living lifestyle, while Putnam Valley is known for large green, almost rural settings.
The region boasts panoramic views of the Hudson River, small city living with a vibrant nightlife--all within a short travel radius. We have every type of living arrangement including apartments, condos, or single and multi-family homes.
New York City is just an hour train ride away. Transportation into the city for your job or a night of entertainment is convenient with MetroNorth stops in Peekskill, Cortlandt and Croton. Amtrak also makes stops in Croton. There is easy access to the Taconic Parkway and Route 9 by car. But you don’t need to go to New York City to see top flight entertainers; you can enjoy nationally and internationally known acts at the fully restored Paramount Center in downtown Peekskill.
Multiple school districts provide high quality education to students from diverse backgrounds. The region is also home to Hudson Valley Hospital Center a fully accredited general, voluntary, not-for-profit 128-bed Hospital serving the community with high quality health care through a team of more than 350 physicians and 1,300 employees.
Our region is the perfect place to live, raise a family, work and enjoy life.
