Trash King visits Hudson Valley MOCA
Join us for the closing of our 1st Annual Juried Exhibition! Take part in exhibiting artist Chin Chih Yang’s interactive performance that displays vitality in spite of human pollution and material waste. Then enjoy a Q&A with Yang and a closing reception to say a final goodbye to your favorite works from the exhibition. This event is free with admission, and free for members. Light refreshments will be served. Full schedule of events: Performance by Chin Chih Yang: 4 - 4:45 pm Q&A with Chin Chih Yang: 4:45 - 5 pm Closing Reception: 5 - 6 pm Yang’s work addresses society’s efforts to protect itself, physically and psychologically, against catastrophe resulting from pollution, surveillance, isolation, and religious/political/social intolerance. Yang perceives the modern world as a mixture of anxiety and entrancement. 21st-century products can do wondrous things, but producers and consumers alike wantonly discard waste.
