Hudson Valley Jazz Festival presents the Thunderhead Trio

Veteran musicians Joe Gil (trombone), Neil Alexander (organ and keyboards) have put together a new group called the "Thunderhead Organ Trio". The group is taking the concept of the organ trio in a new and different direction, drawing on many different influences and styles. The group plays original material and also explores the grittier, rockier side of the genre referencing groups like the original Tony Williams Lifetime and mines the jazz standard repertoire for obscure gems and deep cuts. Putting their own take on these tunes.
